Hi nice game, was interested more in hardware that in a game, but I noticed bug in English version  E(ast) instead O(st) . Also one nice touch would be if introduction would match speed for mp3 (same like reading and hearing same time) also when they kill you you get "Taste" that is from one minute playing, seems good and if I found some time for game I will playit :)

Thanks for your reply. Will fix this soon.

The wish for same text and audio speed is nearly impossible. Sorry, for me this is acceptable.

fixed. Thanks for reporting!

Great new game. I've also included it in my new video along with other recently released games. Hope you like it.

Just wondering, would this high quality speech and sound also be possible with the Ultimate Audio layer of the Ultimate devices? So the Ultimate 64, Ultimate II+ cartridge and the upcoming Commodore Ultimate?

See

Hey xahmol. This seems to be a complete other story.
I'm using a mp3-player on the userport module for playback.
You need this piece of hardware or emulating via VICE.
This is very easy to implement in the code.

yes, understand that. Just was wondering if not using MP3 but samples via the Ultimate Audio Layer would be feasible instead.

If yes, it would greatly enhance the number of machines this can run on.

yes, got your idea. But I cannot find any information about using this in BASIC. The mp3 module makes it very easy to implement and I personally like additional modules to extend original hardware. I always try to support all machines. The module can be self-build, there are infos on the net about it. I don't want a U64 only solution. But thanks for your input :-)

Full audio (EAX) now possible with VICE emulator!

Check: Full audio voice support now in VICE emulator! (EAX) - itch.io

I tested it on Vice. It is awesome!

This remaster is a great work. Looks like I'll play the first part of Alrik's adventure again soon :)

Thanks! :-)

I really like to have the new consistent UI. Looks so much better.

Awesome game!

Thanks, Saberman! :-)

Can the game be played without the audio cartridge?

yes, absolutely! It's an optional feature!

Definitely going to try to get the physical release for all 3. The look and feel of this is spot on, reminiscent of Anirog's Dark Dungeon, Telengard, and other BASIC dungeon crawling games of the early 80s but with a modern touch in the right places.

Quick question - can you actually escape or is there no end to the game?

Hey Robin! Thanks for your comment. Yes, you can escape - that's the goal. If you get lost, try to draw a map and a new strategy, if the last attempt ended in a meeting with the reaper. :-) Will answer your mail too.

I absolutely love and very much enjoy this dungeon crawler! What an engine! I love the controls, the story is cool, and the gameplay is cozy-chill and addicting! 10/10 from me. Would love to see more expansions on this.

Thank you @CoffeeCupArcade!

Please leave a few stars if you like :-)

Hey, I hope you don't mind, but I put Evil Dungeon into the best C64 homebrew games ever made.

Thank you Jamie!
Have you also tried part 3 which was shortly released?

It's my personal favorite of the trilogy :-)

Hey, I will trying it out at some point

Just finished it today. It was a great pleasure to play this game. Evil Dungon 2? Maybe :)

Thanks for your comment! I wish you a merry christmas and maybe fun with ED2 :-)

I think I'll buy it. I saw Saberman video on it and I think it will be interesting for me :)
